Yoga Positions that Emulate Popular Youth Sports
We had the impression that we are the lone family not participating in the early Saturday morning soccer practice. In our community, it seems to be a "thing" that all the parents attend cold fall morning games with their children in lawn chairs and coffee in hand. The neighborhood kids also participate in other sports including swimming, basketball, tennis, gymnastics, ballet, skating, softball, karate, hockey, or golf when they aren't playing soccer. possibly two or three!

My daughter is currently interested in gymnastics. It's a joy to watch kids take up a young sport that develops their flexibility, strength, and stamina while also teaching them self-control, perseverance, and collaboration. Some kids discover their one sport while they are very young, while others experiment with a variety of sports, as we have seen. In either case, it's fantastic that these kids are using their energy to engage in constructive activities.
Getting over her fear of trying something new and joining a new sport without knowing anyone is something my daughter suffers with (and I've seen other kids face the same difficulty). Based on Katie's experience in her karate class, I authored Katie's Karate Class a few years ago. We discussed her love of yoga and how it relates to learning something new in order to help her overcome her fear of karate (karate). To discuss your kids' worries or anxieties about beginning a new sport, read this yoga book together.
Five yoga poses for children as part of sports

You can go to Resting Pose once you have finished practicing your sports-related yoga positions. After all the excitement of their yoga posture practice, encourage your kids to close their eyes (if that's comfortable for them) and take a few deep breaths to settle their thoughts and bodies.
